A Selfish Sash Owner

Confess it. We hate selfish people: adj. "thinking only about your own needs or wishes and not about other people's". or am I the only one? ^^

However, at a certain degree, selfish is a must. Well, atleast in my own personal opinion that is.

****The scene; a story told by a very dear person to me (let just call her V).

After enduring her hard life (every students did ^^, I know) in university, V graduated, along with a Dean List's result (award for excellent academic result) and another special award by the university in her other hand (cannot mention, nanti ketahuan ^^). Of course during the convocation, Dean Listers wore a special sash along with their graduation robe which automatically made them looked out stand from the rest of the fellow graduates.

Then later during photo-taking session outside the hall, a course friend of V asked her if she could borrow the sash so she can take her own photo wearing the sash (like she deserved it also *duh*). Hearing this I was SHOCKED. So I asked V what was her response.

-Now, the "V" I knew is/was one with soft heart, which means NO is a rare line. She will gladly sacrifice hours of her own sleeping time, burning the late oil almost everyday just to help another friend finishing a personal project. She even don't mind doing extra tasks on a group project when her friends mentioned that they're busy doing "something else". Yup, a normal V will say "OK". -

I was ready to burst my anger out. But she chuckled a little a said, "Of course I said NO I CAN'T. Hey, I worked hard for that sash". V then told me that her friend said V was being selfish. I laugh... yup, I guess V did knew when she should draw the line.

Seriously, I wouldn't dare to ask such favour. Talk about PRIDE (^^!). As for V, I really glad she thought about herself on that moment. Selfish or not, she have all the rights. Like she said, she worked hard to deserve that sash. If I were V, I might told my friend to get her own! LOL... alas, I didn't had the chance to say that. Even I didn't deserved the sash. hmm.. should I consider pursuing to further my studies and get a sash myself? LOL... nah.. I'm a happy housewife for the time being. I'll worked on my "own sash" later ^^.

Happy Days ^^

Spring in Labuan? Not^^

Labuan is again having its hottest season and I am enduring with the sweats and heat. I am trying very hard resisting the air-conditioner... (am playing my part to reduce global warming). What can you expect from an island? Tropical IslandYup.. I hoped we had spring season... I'm dreaming of cherry's blossom in the yard, but for now... I am satisfied with my Apple Cherry Tree.

Anyway, I forgot to take photo when the flower blossoming before and the dates on the photo are not the right one ( I messed up with the setting ^^).

Hot season gaves sweet fruits.
That's what I'm thanking for.
Still confused?
Ignore this post *sigh*

In Between dine out and Little Eagle-Monkey Ball

Hubby made it home early yesterday so we went out to check DragonBall Evolution at the ONLY mini cinema in Labuan (kasian kan? hehe...) . It's not so bad but I won't be paying the second time. Though I made peace with the different storyline from the manga, I can't tolerate with some of the "what-the-****" plot. Some of the major turned-off for me was the dragon and lack of wushu-fighting-show off skill [read my full review here]. Luckily we had nice dinner before that and I was satisfied with the food on my plate.

We had dinner at a nearby cafe. We rarely eat at this cafe: "Merry Bites". If not mistaken, last night was the third time we went there.

Appetiser that came late. Cost RM7 plus.
Taste= just plain ok. Son did not like it though.

The cafe was a small one but I like the cosy environment.
Not posh.. just simple and cosy.

While hubby had some 'Nasi Goreng Kampung' (fried rice), I opt for a western dish; Chicken chop. Cost RM13 plus... not bad. Son loved this one and the serving was a big one. I shared it with son and we barely finished it.

Later at home, I asked son what did he think about the movie he just watch (it's his first time in a cinema). I asked if the movie was scary.. he replied with a NO. And he added that Moneky Ball was funny. yeah... my son refers DE to Monkey Ball. hahaha....

Happy Weekend

Sharing my husband with someone

Very brave and yet confusing statement.

You must be wondering what am I saying? why...? who..? huh...?? This is not recently happened though. I had a hard time earlier while learning and adjusting myself to it. Now, I can peacefully said to hubby, "You may go".

Wow! Okay... maybe I did left important rule to it, "Make sure not too long and try to be back before 10.00pm".

Tonight.. or should I say just now, hubby told me again... "I need to go". I let him go of course and leaving me, cleaning and scrubbing my kitchen's counter after I was done with the dishes before I sit infront of my computer (and doing what I'm doing now) while Little Eagle had his Disney TV untill later... 8.00 pm news.

Who is this someone? He is... (let me repeat).. HE is or was my husband ex-boss. A retired engineer who had been someone close to my husband (despite the age gap) even before I get married to him ^^. He's almost like a second father to my husband. This fellow (what to call him ah?) had partly moved to Tawau to manage his oil palm business there but still come to Labuan ocassionaly. So when he's in town, he'll look for hubby.

Why was I being so sharing-ful? Well, you might do the same thing f you were me. He did not have a family of his own.. yeah, no wife, no child... and since he's been good to hubby for all these years, why not?! Hmm... I going to burn some movie for him later. Hubby mentioned that the fellow was bored and asked if we had good movie to watch. Should I burn my korean movie instead? hahahahaha.....

A Fever Syndrome Relay Week

Dear regular stoppers, before you start putting that grin on your face, NO... am not talking about my fever on dramas and movies^^.

It had been quite a week for me. On Monday I paid a visit to my usual doctor since I suffered from what I thought was a regular sore-throat-turned-bad pain. I was then however told that I got a pretty bad tonsil infection. *sigh* I wondered if the tip I had been practicing to ease the pain caused that infection? A friend told me, to overcome a sore throat pain fast, one should eat ice cream. So after Sunday's church service ended, hubby brought me and Little Eagle to McDonald in order for me to eat some ice cream and Little Eagle will have his in-door playground enjoyment. I consumed TWO servings of that icy-frozen-cold thingy... which I ended up with an even terrible pain during the night. hmmm... no more nonsense tips. I should have been sticking with my warm plain water instead!

Then on Tuesday... Little Eagle threw up here and there. It looked like he's "salah makan" or something like that. He whine all day, refused to eat, etc. However the whining made me even sicker. I was already a patient here... eating my flu pills did not make anything better. Plus hubby was seriously busy and engaged to his work like so tight! I almost turned into a sick zombie. ALMOST!

When we I thought that I can depend on hubby to help me on certain matters at home (I am still in sick mode), hubby called me from clinic later on Wednesday evening telling me he also caught my tonsil breakdown infection *sigh*. Now let see.... that's strike THREE!!! We're all OUT! ^^

So I spent my leisure moments watching some movies instead of blogging. I can't process much of my words^^.

I am almost there, being fully healthy again I mean. I rarely gets a fever or sore throat, but when it strikes... it's bad ^^. Must be the super heat we had last week in Labuan. It's so hot during the day. I wished it would rain later since during late afternoon, I actually saw dark sky BUT alas.... it's just my wish. Luckily, it rained heavily on Sunday night's... cooled down this heaty islanders ^^. Till then.

Whose Line Is It Anyway?

My sister suggested me to watch this clip. This show was used to be my favourite when the show was still free to watch on Astro^^. My stomach and face still hurts so much because of laughing.
