Making Sun-Dried Tomato, cheap & quick
Sun-dried tomatoes can be quite expensive. So why not making them yourself? It's so easy and I did not even dried them under the sun. I had my oven "drying them" up for me.
I cut the tomatoes in wedges, and lined them inside a baking tray.
**option: you can also sprinkle some sea salt on the tomatoes but I preferred mine salt-free
Heat them up for 30 mins at 200 deg.
After 30 mins, let them cool for a while. Take them out, put them inside a bowl and dash on some oil (olive oil if you want the Europe taste or just use any oil in your kitchen -I used sesame oil.. ^^). There you have it.. a home made sun dried tomatoes ready to be used. Why bother? Sun-dried (hmm.. should I say oven-dried instead>> ??) tomatoes had more sweetness since most of the water content was dried out (personal theory... hehee~~) during the drying process. But I guess you can still just use your fresh tomatoes as it is if you think preparing it is a hassle.

i think the skin caramelize makes the sweet taste richer beside the drying.
