I am trying recipe(s) from the book I am borrowing from my Mom.
I'm not that keen with burgers but my bro asked to make it for him and so I did (good sister huh? *giggles*). Bought a kilo of minced beef (RM15.90 per kg) and I managed to prepare the patties twice. First attempt, mom & bro had lunch. Second time, I just prepared the patties (while it still fresh-red coloured).
After prepared the meat, asked my dad to stop by at my house to pick up the pre-made patties, I cooked our portion and later... hubby, me and son had ours with rice for dinner.

Making the patties (the below mixture can make up to 8 patties)
All ingredients in a mixing bowl.
fresh beef should be red in colour (notice mine??)
500 gm minced beef
1 onion (finely minced)
garlics (according to liking)
1/4 cups of
sun-dried tomatoeswhite pepper (upon liking)
1 tbs turmeric powder
1tbs all purpose flour (or seasoned flour like Kentucky)
1/4 cups of coriander (finely sliced- upon liking... some people don't like the smell)
dashes of light soy sauce
some salt

after mixing it with clean hand
the yellowish colour of the meat is a result of using turmeric powder...
not because the meat gone bad.

*********************************************
making the salsa1/2 red capsicum (finely diced)
1/2 yellow capsicum (finely diced)
2 tomatoes (finely diced)
1 tbs Worcestershire Sauce
-mix all together & done-

placing the pre-made meat & salsa into containers for pick-up by dad ^^

tips: Cook yours the way you like them-rare, medium, well done...- BUT make sure the patties' diameter is bigger than it should be before placing them on the grill. Meat tend to shrink and although you can press the down while cooking it (like the burger vendors did)... you'll actually squeezing the juice out as well and you'll end up with DRY PATTIES!! Well.. unless you love them dry.. what ever ^^
cooking our portion for dinner (on my
magic cooker).

cooked patties.. smells nice!
To serve as burger, you can add mayo to the salsa and put it on your burger...

had them with steamed brown rice, cooled sliced cucumbers, and
KIMCHI... its so... good!!
on the other hand.. I found Capsicums/ Bell Peppers are really expensive these days.
These two cost me RM5!! now... I am thinking to grow my own.. *sigh*

Happy Cooking & Eating!!
